Everything you need to know about WCE Hackathon 2022:
WCE Hackathon'22 will be held entirely in virtual mode. Hackathon'22 is an evolving venture in which participants are expected to complete product development based on problem descriptions chosen by participants. Here, participants innovate, strategize, code, and overcome challenges using original solutions to some of the most used real-world problems.
WCE Hackathon 2022: Stages and Timelines
Stage 1-Idea Submission
Registered teams need to submit an abstract of their project based on one of the given problem statements. All idea submission formats shall be in the format provided on the website and in the additional Section.
Start Date 18 May 22, 12:00 AM IST End Date 29 May 22, 11:59 PM IST
Stage 2-Development Period
Shortlisted teams will develop the project in this development period. The submission includes a link to gitrepo, deployed version, and a video(maximum duration of 4 mins) explaining the project and a demonstration of the product built.

Stage 3-Virtual Finale
Shortlisted teams will have a final presentation and Q/A session with the judges in presence of all final teams.

More about the hackathon
Tracks:
The Hackathon consists of two tracks: Beginners and Experts. The top 3 teams on the "Expert" track are declared winners. The top two teams of the beginner course are declared winners.
Novice Track:
Only teams of all first-year students may apply to the Novice Track. Rookie teams are eligible for mentorship. Mentors can only be from SY, TY, or B.tech studying at WCE. Teams can communicate their preferences to mentors upon registration.
Expert Track:
Teams with at least one member in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade are considered Expert Tracks.
Rewards and Prizes
The top 3 teams will be awarded cash prizes and awards. The top 3 teams on the NoviceTrack will receive Certificates of Excellence. The prize money goes to the general hackathon winner irrespective of the track.
