Obviously quite a bit has changed since then, but our mission and our vision has remained constant. We still want to help everyone find a great place to volunteer, and I personally want to make sure that everyone leading and working with volunteers has the tools, resources, and support to effectively engage them.
As I'm writing this we are getting really close to our 18 Millionth connection! VolunteerMatch has helped all of those volunteers find a cause they care about or learn how they can make a difference in their community. I've been a part of some really amazing things here at VolunteerMatch, but some of my favorite moments have been:
- Launching VolunteerMatch's first Learning Center in September 2007.
- Getting my CVA in 2010 with support and encouragement from Greg Baldwin our then CEO and Founding Board Member of CCVA.
- Starting the Time + Talent Podcast with my colleague and friend Tobi Johnson at VolunteerPro.
- Co-editing the textbook Volunteer Administration: Professional Practice with Keith Seel.
- And, my most favorite part of what I do is being able to connect with you, to hear your stories and your challenges, and to try and make your job a little easier!
